May Newsletter

HAPPY MAY!

It's the height of springtime in Elkins and we're excited to see downtown Elkins bustling with activity. Ramps and Rails Fest took over Town Square last weekend, and we enjoyed seeing new faces coming in the door. (We also enjoyed trying a feast of ramp-y foods, from cachapas to cotton candy!) The scenic train season is getting back into the swing of things over at the Depot. We love showing train riders our selection of train fabrics! The return of Elkins Main Street's First Friday event series is bringing even more people downtown. Come out this weekend and enjoy seed-planting, horse-petting, a sidewalk chalk contest, and performances from DJ KSwift and D&E's Appalachian Ensemble.

Get ready for summer with flag fabrics, ginghams, gauzes, and all kinds of bright and colorful quilting fabrics! We're loving the warmer weather, and enjoying our new line of knit fabrics for making breezy tees, swing tops, and more.

We joke that winter is quilt season, but there are plenty of reasons to keep sewing well into the summer. Stop in and get ideas for clothing, backpacks, market totes, gardening aprons, and more! Make a quilted picnic blanket or colorful table runner. We have fresh fabric and ideas for all of your quilting and sewing needs.

Consider joining us for one of our monthly classes. Whether you're an expert or a beginner, we've got a class for you! See our class schedule below for more info, and as always, feel free to give us a call at 304-636-9480 for details!
