November Newsletter
IT'S NOVEMBER!!
And that means we're gearing up for the Holiday season around the store! Last weekend, we were excited to participate in Downtown Elkins' Trick or Treat, and despite the rain, we passed out over 600 pieces of candy. Now we're getting ready for Polar Express, which is coming to Elkins on the 8th. Downtown businesses are turning into Santa's Workshop and providing hands-on activities for kids before the train ride. We're turning the middle section of the shop into an elf-hat making wonderland, complete with photo-op backdrop, Christmas tree, and a sewing machine. What else could you ask for?
Be sure to stop in and see us for all of your Holiday gift needs. We've got several items on our own lists, especially since last week's AccuQuilt event with Jeannie Miller! (We couldn't wait to get new classes on the calendar utilizing the AccuQuilt GO! Cutter system, so Kathryn is leading a table runner course on the 20th. Read on for more info.) Also high on the Christmas list this year? The new Brilliance Line from Viking: two new machines perfect for all of your quilting or embroidery needs. We'll be starting special Brilliance classes next month, but until then, we invite new Brilliance owners to bring their machines to Epic Day!
Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday are all on the horizon. Keep an eye out for great savings all through the month of November, and remember to Shop Local this holiday season!

Mind Over Matter
Easy AccuQuilt Table Runner
After our AccuQuilt event in October, we're so excited to play more with the GO! system of dies and cutters. Join Kathryn as she teaches you the basics of the AccuQuilt cutters. Whether you have a GO! product or not, you'll learn new techniques and leave with a table runner. This class is on November 20th, beginning at 10am.
Jelly Roll Rug
Come in on Saturday morning and leave that afternoon with a small finished rug! All you'll need is a jelly roll and a roll of 2.5" batting. This easy project will teach you the basic technique to make rugs of any size and fabric bowls. Your project will be picture perfect (just ask my shadow!)
Polar Express Elf Hats
We can't wait for Elf Hat season! This year, we're extending our Downtown Santa's Workshop hours to Thursday-Saturday afternoons. Kids or kids-at-heart can come in and make a hat starting November 8th!
